I am delighted to let you all know that the contract has been
signed and work on LauraLynn House will commence later this
month with a view to opening in early 2011 at The Children's
Sunshine Home, Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, (CSH) with whom we have
merged to build and operate the House. I wish to take this
opportunity to extend sincere thanks for all the amazing support
which has enabled to us to reach this important milestone on the
road to building Ireland's first dedicated children's hospice.
We will, however, need to rely on continuing fundraising into the
future to help with the annual costs of the upkeep of LauraLynn
House.
It has been a long and, sometimes, challenging process to get this
far but the unstinting help of so many people from every walk of
life has been truly uplifting.
I intend to take some time out from fundraising - to rest a little
and take time to reflect on how I might contribute to LauraLynn
House in the future. I would appreciate if you would
contact Jane Flynn (Marketing) or Sarah Meagher (Fundraising)
at CSH in relation to any fundraising issues.
